Job Description:
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. The Multilingual Learner (MLL) Program Coordinator is responsible for systemic oversight, compliance, and instructional fidelity of the districtwide Multilingual Learner program. This role ensures all MLL services align with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) requirements, federal law (ESSA, Title III), and audit findings to provide equitable access to grade-level instruction for all students.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee all identification, instruction, redesignation, monitoring, and reporting processes related to MLs.
- Collaborate with the Student Data Respondent to ensure accurate ML coding for Student October submissions and the CDE Data Pipeline.
- Manage the annual ML Data Cycle, including verifying screening fields in August, locking student counts in October, and finalizing coding in July.
- Supervise the standardized six-step identification process, including Home Language Surveys (HLS), prior history reviews (CEDAR/COGNOS), and English Language Proficiency screeners.
- Lead collaborative teams in reviewing bodies of evidence for final designation decisions.
- Ensure parents receive formal notification of designations with legally documented consent or refusal forms.

- Expertise in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE)
- Experience with data management systems (e.g. Infinite Campus) and state reporting tools (CEDAR/COGNOS)
- Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Language Studies, Education, or related field
- Deep knowledge of CDE compliance, Title III federal regulations, and CELP standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with WIDA assessment administration and data analysis is preferred
