Job Description:
A Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for processing all residential mortgage loans and consumer loans. They will be preparing closing documents, inputting and updating loan data in the Bank’s systems, and assembling and verifying loan documents for accuracy. This is NOT a supervisory role.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Understands and supports the High Country Bank Mission Statement and commits to adhere to the High Country Bank Values of Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect and Together.
• Processes loans in accordance with Loan Policies and Procedures of the Bank.
• Assists in maintaining a current schedule of all loans in process.
• Provides administrative assistance to the loan department, including updating loan data for entry into the Bank’s computers and assembling documentation for loans.
• Meet regularly with the VP and AVP’s of the Mortgage Loan department to discuss loan operations related to quality control.
• Responsible for a complete and accurate audit for each loan file.
• Responsible for loan vault retention, record retention and final audits.
• Facilitates the ordering of appraisals, market analysis and title commitments for all incoming mortgage loan files in process and tracks the progress of these items to ensure deadlines are met.
• Disclosing all Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures within bank and TRID guidelines for all applicable mortgage loan files.
• Processing all modifications for existing portfolio mortgage loans including but not limited to extensions, renewals and advances.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ensure and understand compliance requirements of all laws and regulations within the Banking industry, including, but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC); Reporting of Currency Transactions (CTR); Reporting of Suspicious Activity (SAR); Monetary Instrument Log/Customer Identification/Customer Due Diligence (CDD); Anti Money Laundering Regulations; Identity Theft Prevention; Unfair, Deceptive, Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP); and Deposit Regulations (Reg CC, E, P,), Freddie Mac lending.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Lending or Banking experience is preferred.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Must maintain professional appearance and dress code standards.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, if required.
• Reliable transportation (if travel or multi-location coverage is necessary).

This position operates in a professional office environment and requires interaction with customers, staff, and leadership. The role may require occasional extended hours and weekend availability, particularly during staffing shortages or peak periods.
