Job Description

Fast-paced Dermatology office seeking energetic, team-oriented, Medical Assistant.

Medical Assistant's duties include rooming patients, giving injections, scribe and clinically assisting provider during skin exams, surgery, non-invasive cosmetic procedures, and administrative tasks including visit notes in Electronic Medical Record software and follow-up with patients regarding test results, as well as other duties relevant to a medical office.

The ideal candidate has relevant experience, is certified, and eager to learn about Dermatology!

Duties:

• ‪Rooming patients
• Administer IM injections
• Scribe for provider during visits
• Set up and assist during surgical and cosmetic procedures
• Suture removals
• Stocking and sanitizing rooms
• Autoclave instruments
• Communicate biopsy, prescription, and lab results to patients
• Maintain pathology log
• Schedule patients for surgical procedures
• Administer Photodynamic Therapy

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (preferred, not required)
• Confident with Sterile technique
• Eager to learn about Dermatology in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Comfort using various computer programs and Electronic Medical Record systems

Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday 7:45am – 5pm One overnight trip per month with the provider to practice in Gunnison, CO office (expenses paid)

Experience:

• 2 years of experience Medical Assisting is preferred
• Candidates with Dermatology experience are more competitive in this role

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

Certifications/Licenses: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant is preferred but not required
