Position Summary
The Master Electrician will lead and expand the electrical department, overseeing installations and integrations in advanced construction projects to ensure reliable, efficient systems that support durable and cost-effective homes. This role will drive research and development initiatives to innovate electrical solutions within automated building processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance VeroTouch’s mission of attainable housing through scalable technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Electrical Systems Implementation
- Interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications to determine and execute electrical system installations, wiring, and integrations for residential and commercial projects at a rapid pace.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and quality standards during builds, maintaining safe and reliable systems.
- Coordinate with team members on-site to align electrical tasks with project timelines and support department expansion through practical contributions.
Research and Development Support
- Apply R&D findings directly to hands-on electrical work in residential and commercial projects, focusing on speed and practical implementation.
- Perform on-site testing, diagnostics, and documentation of electrical systems in active builds to resolve issues and enhance efficiency.
- Provide data from projects to support incremental improvements in electrical methods.
Maintenance and Quality Assurance
- Conduct hands-on maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in in-progress or completed structures with prompt execution.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all electrical activities while resolving challenges.
- Identify and address risks during work to ensure reliability and positive project outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- A proven work ethic and a strong commitment to continuous learning—attributes that deliver results beyond traditional education (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
Experience
- Current Master Electrician license in Colorado (required).
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical roles, preferably in construction, automation, or innovative building technologies (required).
- Proven track record in department growth, R&D projects, or electrical systems in construction (preferred).
Skills
- Expertise in electrical codes, wiring, automation systems, and troubleshooting complex installations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute electrical installations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, providing and receiving direction to support shared goals.
- Proficiency in technical documentation, CAD software, and data analysis for practical R&D applications.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate on-site and foster ownership among peers.
- A results-driven approach with meticulous attention to detail, quick problem-solving in high-urgency environments, full accountability for safety and project success, and the ability to work at a fast pace without compromising quality.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Eligibility for equity compensation, subject to the company’s equity plan terms.
- 15 Days of PTO (combined paid leave and sick leave).
- Eligibility to participate in the company incentive bonus program, subject to the terms and conditions specified.
- Health and dental coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts (if applicable), subject to plan terms (90 days after employment).
- Company-paid holidays.
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
$120,000 - $140,000 annually + benefits and equity
The compensation package will be tailored based on several individualized factors, including geographic market, job-specific expertise, professional skills, and relevant experience. The total remuneration for this role may encompass additional elements contingent upon the position offered. Comprehensive details regarding participation in benefit programs will be provided upon receipt of an employment offer.
