Wage: $15.75-$18.90/hr. 

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description

The Royal Gorge Bridge Park is seeking a maintenance person with general construction knowledge. This is a temporary/seasonal position. This person should have an aptitude for overall maintenance including repairs, updates on buildings and structures. Must be able to handle heights. Problem solving ,carpentry and/or other construction skills a plus. Physically the job requires being able to work outside daily, lifting, and standing, (this is not a complete list). 32-40 hour work week.

As a maintenance employee you will be asked to do general maintenance on structures, grounds, and the bridge. The maintenance team is responsible for all of the Repair, Maintenance, and small construction projects in the facility.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

A maintenance employee may be asked to do the following tasks.

  • Bridge maintenance
  • Carpenter applications
  • Plumbing
  • Minor electrical
  • Welding
  • Mechanical
  • Masonry
  • Concrete work
  • Equipment operation road repairs tree or brush removal
  • Event set-up, tents, tables, chairs, banners, flags, electrical cords, lights, etc.
  • manual snow removal
  • plowing and sanding
  • raw water on and off for irrigation
  • construction of light to medium sized projects
  • assist in water distribution and irrigation.
  • Able to pass drug and background screen
  • Have a drivers license in good standing
