
Job: Low Voltage Technician

Wage: $18-$35/hr.
Location: Salida, CO.

This is a contracted position to start, but the right candidate will work to become a full time part of this company with the ability to grow in the industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cabling installation and termination (all media types); cabling testing and documentation
- Build-out of MDF and IDF (racks, patch panels, wire managers, network electronics, etc.); installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cable systems; Work with CAT 5e, 6 and 6a twisted pair cable, optical fiber, coax, etc.
- Perform all cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, terminating, and testing in accordance with BICSI standards, National Electrical Code (NEC) and other local regulations
- Continually demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Coordinate with other trades on site
- Create a positive impression with all customers.
- Provide value to customers with difficult issues through use of good listening, communication, and problem solving skills
- Perform all work in a neat and quality manner
- Travel to job sites in the Arkansas Valley, and sometimes outside of the valley (Fremont County, Garfield County, Summit County, ect.)
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools; ability to lift/carry/setup a 50 pound box or ladder
- Should own low voltage tools, snips, cable strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. (not required)
- Ability to work afterhours (some weekends and evenings) as needed; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
- High School diploma, or equivalent
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Minimum 1 year of low voltage installation experience including but not limited to:
- Working with CAT 5e, 6 and 6a twisted pair cable, optical fiber, coax, etc.
- With cabling installation and termination of all media types
- Building out MDF and IDF (racks, patch panels, wire managers, network electronics, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment at times
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
- Good driving record
Compensation for Low Voltage Technician:
Up to $35.00 /hour depending on experience

Job Type: Contract to start, with intent to become permanent/salaried
Monday to Friday, and some after hours/weekend work required for deadlines and installs that require downtime
