Job Description

We are looking for a skilled line cook to prepare great meals in an open kitchen, full-service restaurant. A great ‘can-do’ attitude, team-work, calm under pressure presence is ideal. We are a new restaurant, serving sourdough pizza / Italian / some Eclectic dishes, in an open kitchen in the dining area. Our kitchen team earns a % of tips plus hourly wage.

Responsibilities:

• Set up workstations prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.
• Ensure great presentation of all plates
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

Requirements:

• Proven experience as cook is a plus
• Culinary school is a plus
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
• Ability to work in a team
• Very good communication skills, in a high-stress environment
• Willing to live or relocate to the area: Buena Vista, Colorado

Salary: base $18.00 to $21.00 /hour + tip sharing (additional $2.00-$3.00/hr). Yearly equivalent; $40,000 to $47,000 annual.
