Wage: $17.50-$20.50/hr.

Position Description: UAACOG Fremont County Head Start is now hiring a dynamic and experienced Lead Teacher for our Early Childhood Program in Canon City, CO. Some of the duties include but are not limited to the following: Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children. Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children. Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs. Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development. Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children.

Qualifications: An associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education OR an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree with 12 Early Childhood Education credits completed (Level 2 Colorado Early Childhood credential can qualify, if you are willing to enroll in an associate's degree program). 2 years of verifiable and relevant experience.
