What we are looking for:

A dedicated Lead Nurse who can confidently own the planning, organizing, and directing of our clinical support staff in addition to traditional nursing support duties. A leader who can effectively lead a team of 4-5 employees and providers. We are looking for someone that portrays an overall professional demeanor and appearance, that is dependable, self-motivated, and has a passion for providing quality care to all patients. What you'll do:

  • Deliver patient care per provider orders, practice guidelines, and state Nurse Practice Act regulations, in a competent and professional manner.
  • Provide supervision of clinical competencies of Medical Assistants and delegate appropriate tasks.
  • Collect and document patient information, clinical data and other relevant information while ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Work with staff to assure smooth and efficient patient flow and clinical operation.
  • Create and maintain excellence in patient/family relationships and engagement.
  • Adhere to and implement policies, procedures and protocols related to clinical dermatology services.
  • Prepare, administer and document oral, topical and injectable medications and vaccines, per provider orders.
  • Assist with in-office procedures.
  • Schedule next-step procedures, specialty services and testing.
  • Maintain and use the principles of aseptic techniques, infection control, and OSHA standards.
  • Participate in meetings by providing constructive input for improvements and solutions.
  • Act as an extension of HR with all recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations initiatives
  • Own scheduling and staffing according to our labor management guidelines.
  • Provide daily support and guidance to clinical staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Interested candidates should have/be:

  • Current nursing license (in appropriate state), RN, LPN, or LVN.
  • Experience as Charge Nurse or in an equivalent leadership role highly preferred
  • Ability to adjust personal availability according to volume changes and activity surges
  • Adherence to a compliance program and HIPAA standards and policies

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
