Mountain West Ensemble is seeking a seasoned escrow officer to lead our efforts in Buena Vista. This role combines mastery-level escrow execution with the opportunity to build and shape our field-based operation in existing and future markets.
The Role:
You'll serve as the lead escrow officer for a local office, handling both routine and complex transactions while simultaneously developing the systems and standards that will define our service model. This position requires someone who can execute flawlessly on day one while contributing to the strategic growth of the business.
Core Responsibilities:
- Expert Escrow Execution: Handle all transaction types and complexities – from routine closings to the challenging files that require creative solutions
- Service Excellence: Expand on our long-standing reputation as the premier independent alternative in the region
- Team Development: Build and mentor a team of closers and scale the processing function
- Process Innovation: Develop efficient workflows and standards for scalable operations
- Quality Leadership: Set the standard for accuracy, communication, and client service
What We're Looking For:
Experience Requirements:
- 4+ years of comprehensive escrow experience across all transaction types
- Proven ability to handle complex files independently
- Experience with process improvement or team leadership
- Prior experience in dynamic, fast-moving independent or start-up environment preferred

Required Qualifications:
- Colorado Title Producer's license and Notary Public Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Comprehensive knowledge of escrow procedures, file balancing, and best practices
- Strong technology skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance including Fair Housing, RESPA, escrow laws, and industry regulations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
