ABOUT THE ROLE

Assist the plant operator and plant personnel in daily operation and maintenance of the plant.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Change plant screens, belts and bearings as required
• Changing wear parts
• Check oil levels in gear boxes and machinery on a daily basis and take corrective actions
• General Housekeeping Duties to include:
• Shoveling
• Trash Cleanup
• Cleaning under and around plant
• Will assist in loading holes for blasting
• Duties to be added as skills and abilities increase.
• Will include:
• Plant and equipment operation
• Light welding and fabrication as required Is required to look at plant and machinery during daily tasks and communicate any issues/concerns to supervisor

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Must be able to safely operate a man lift and skid loader or have ability to learn
• Must be able to work on Saturday’s as required
• Must be knowledgeable of, and follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Education/Experience:

• Ability to gain a Possessors Certificate preferred
• 2+ years’ experience working in a Quarry Plant environment is preferred
• Previous experience in welding and/or fabrication is a plus

ADA Limitations:

While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to travel through an Aggregate plant, i.e., walk over obstacles, climb stairs and ladders, lift heavy or awkward parts, and wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, fall protection, respirators, etc.); The employee will at times be exposed to extremely hot/cold, dusty, noisy, or dark situations. At times, work will be performed at great heights or in small, confined spaces
