Job Description:

The Journeyman Plumber independently installs and maintains plumbing systems for modular homes at Mytikas Industries’s Florence production facility. This role ensures proper flow, drainage, and leak prevention; troubleshoots and repairs issues; and executes work in compliance with code and safety standards. Success is measured by quality, rework avoidance, and on-time completion aligned to production schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install plumbing systems independently, including pipes, fixtures (sinks, toilets), and appliances (water heaters) in modular homes.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems to ensure proper function, drainage, and leak prevention.
  • Troubleshoot issues (clogs, leaks, pressure problems) and implement efficient, code-compliant repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with plumbing codes (e.g., IPC) and safety standards, including venting and drainage requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and plumbing schematics to execute accurate installations.
  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing tools and equipment to ensure readiness and performance.
  • Collaborate with production teams to meet deadlines and quality requirements; support team coordination as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Colorado-approved plumber apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing required.
  • 3–5 years of plumbing experience, preferably in a manufacturing or construction setting.
  • At least 6,800 hours of documented practical experience per Colorado DORA requirements.
  • Journeyman Plumber license issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
  • Proficiency installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes (e.g., IPC) and safety practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plumbing schematics.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA safety training.
  • Experience guiding Entry-Level plumbers in a production setting.
Work Environment / Schedule
  • Onsite at Mytikas Industries’s production facility in Florence, Colorado.
  • Production-driven environment requiring PPE (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, hard hats) and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (40 hours total).
