Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for all hospital and clinic software applications, including EHR, practice management, financial, and ancillary systems.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned applications, ensuring functionality aligns with operational and clinical needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and interface issues in coordination with vendors and internal staff.
• Monitor system performance, identify root causes of issues, and recommend improvements.
• Assist with user setup, access management, and system permissions across applications.
• Participate in application upgrades, testing, and validation activities.
• Support end users through training, workflow documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with clinical, financial, and administrative teams to optimize system performance and usability.
• Manage and track application support requests through the IT help desk system; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours IT and system support.
• Assist in planning and implementing new application features, integrations, and enhancements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and user support issues.
• Collaborate with the CIO on technology improvement initiatives and digital transformation efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall IT and hospital operations.

Qualifications

·         Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·         Experience: Minimum 2 years of healthcare IT or applications support experience preferred.

·         Certifications: Application-specific or IT certifications (e.g., ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or Oracle Health Learning credentials) preferred upon hire and required to obtain within 12 months of employment.

·         Other Requirements: Must be available for on-call rotation and after-hours support.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong understanding of hospital and clinic software systems, including EHR, billing, and ancillary applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare data workflows, interfaces, and system integrations.

The IT Systems Analyst supports and maintains all hospital and clinic applications at Mt. San Rafael Hospital & Clinics, including the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other core business and clinical systems. This position assists with help desk support, system troubleshooting, and on-call responsibilities while serving as the subject matter expert for application workflows and enhancements. The IT Systems Analyst plays a key role in ensuring system stability, user satisfaction, and efficient technology operations across the organization.
