Pueblo Community College is accepting applications for its part-time instructor pool for Academic Year 2024-2025 (Fall, Spring and Summer terms). Instructors may teach a full 16-week term, an abbreviated term, or limited hours, depending on discipline/subject. Qualified applicants will be contacted only when a need is identified.
This application expires on June 30, 2025, and a new application must be submitted for consideration the following academic year.
An instructor must be a resident of Colorado or reside in Colorado on the first day of employment.
Pay is $35.12 per lab hour and/or $51.13 per lecture hour. Instructors are hired as temporary employees and are not eligible for medical or dental benefits. However, instructor hours are measured annually to determine potential eligibility for medical benefits the following plan year.

The instructor provides classroom, laboratory, and related instruction under the guidance of a course lead and Department Chair and is responsible for planning and providing student instruction in accordance with approved syllabi, curriculum guidelines, and required program standards.
To be eligible for employment, the instructor must complete all required compliance and accreditation training and successfully meet the requirements established for a background check.
The instructor must adhere to the laws, policies, procedures, rules, and applications which govern and affect the college, including the fiscal rules of the State of Colorado.Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Applied Science In Automotive Technology, National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) Certificate, or Equivalent Industry Experience.
Licenses or Certifications:- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certificate or Eligible for an ASE Certificate within 1-year.
Experience- 3 years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) industry employment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities- Transmissions, Engines, Electrical, HVAC, Brakes, Suspension and Drivability.
