Job Description:

Join Our Team as an Independent PCA Manager

Location: [Canon City, CO] | Schedule: Full-time | Team: Residential Services
Mission: Enriching Lives. Realizing Dreams.

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others? Do you thrive in leadership roles and love bringing out the best in a team? If you answered “YES!” — we want you to join Starpoint, where every day is an opportunity to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently and confidently.  We’re looking for a compassionate go-getter with a heart for service and a mind for details to take the lead as our next Independent PCA Manager. This role is your chance to make a difference — and make your mark.

What You’ll Do:

As our Independent PCA Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of our Independent PCA Program — a vital service that helps people live independently in their own homes with dignity, choice, and support.

Your role will include:

  • Leading a passionate team and ensuring top-quality care in compliance with agency, state, and federal standards.
  • Training, mentoring, and scheduling employees, and making sure everyone is equipped and empowered to succeed.
  • Partnering with individuals to design personalized support plans, helping them live their best lives on their terms.
  • Managing program operations, documentation, and quality checks like a pro.
  • Jumping in when needed — whether it’s solving a last-minute staffing challenge or ensuring a home meets safety standards.
  • Attending planning meetings and supporting individuals with a focus on their goals, preferences, and dreams.
  • Celebrating wins — big and small — because progress should be recognized!

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • A heart for people and a person-centered approach to services.
  • High School diploma is required
  • We would also prefer either an Associate’s degree in Human Services or a related field or  5+ years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities      (2+ years in a leadership role).
  • CPR, First Aid, QMAP, and Safety Care certification (or the willingness to get them).
  • A  current Colorado driver’s license, personal transportation, and  auto insurance.
  • Strong  leadership, communication, time management, and stress management skills —  you’re the calm in the storm and the pep in the team!
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, push/pull 100+ lbs, and be on your feet for 4+ hours/day      — this is a hands-on role!

What You’ll Love:

  • Purpose-driven work – every single day, your leadership changes lives.
  • supportive team that values collaboration, humor, and heart.
  • Opportunities for growth and professional development.
  • A chance to truly lead with impact in a meaningful program.

Ready to Lead with Purpose?

If you’re excited about helping people live independently and thrive — and you’ve got the leadership chops to keep a high-quality program running smoothly — we’d love to meet you!
