 Join Our Team as an ICU Monitor Technician


This position is eligible for an 8% pay differential!

As an ICU Monitor Technician at HRRMC, you will play a vital role in our ICU/critical-care team by continuously monitoring patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and other telemetry data. You will alert nursing staff, participate in turning and basic bedside care support, ensure proper function of monitoring equipment, and maintain accurate logs/documentation.

Essential Duties:

  • Set up, calibrate and monitor telemetry/monitoring equipment (cardiac monitors, invasive lines, hemodynamic monitors).

  • Observe continuous patient data (ECG rhythms, arterial pressures, central venous pressures, pulse oximetry, etc.) and immediately escalate abnormalities to appropriate nursing/physician staff.

  • Perform routine checks of monitor leads, alarms, patient positioning, and equipment functionality.

  • Assist with routine ICU tasks: transporting patients to and from imaging/labs, checking alarms, ensuring bed alarms, triggers are functioning.

• Successfully pass written arrhythmia exam with score of 80% or better. 
• Or Certified EKG Monitor Tech 
• Or RN’s and Respiratory Therapist must have ACLS and successfully pass arrhythmia exam in Relias with score of 100%. 

• Or LPN and CNA’s successfully pass EKG Telemetry course with exam score of 80% or pass the AACN telemetry online course (to obtain certificate online, score must be 80%).
• A yearly Relias arrhythmia exam must be completed with a 100% score by all Monitor Techs.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Maintain current CPR or BLS certification.
