Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
Schedule: 30 hours per week
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Human Resources Representative to join our team! (Please note, this is NOT a remote position. It is 100% in office). This position plays a key role in managing Human Resources functions, benefits, and workers' compensation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting our team and ensuring efficient operations. This is a dynamic role requiring attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
- PC/HM:
- Recruitment and onboarding for PC/HM staff
- Coordinate trainings and ensure chart maintenance for HMA and PC/HM
- Attend staffing meetings to stay informed on staffing needs
- Update the Personnel Handbook and PC/HM training materials
- Complete proper termination documentation
- Manage the Yearly Linda Bowman Award
Benefits Management:
- Initial Enrollments:
- Administer life, retirement, and health insurance enrollments for qualifying staff (over 30 hours)
- Administer Trailhead benefits for qualifying staff
- Open Enrollment:
- Health Insurance (October-November)
- Aflac (April)
- Life Insurance (May)
- Yearly Tasks:
- 1095 Reporting (February)
Worker’s Compensation:
- File and manage original accident reports
- Investigate accidents and manage claims
- Complete yearly OSHA reporting
- Apply for cost containment applications every 2-3 years
Quality Assurance:
- Participate in quality assurance activities and prepare meeting minutes
- Present accident reports as required
PCP Supervision:
- Conduct monthly evaluations for regular staff (not attendants)
- Resolve caregiving issues and advocate for PCPs when needed
- Ensure caregivers have proper breaks and do not have excessive travel schedules
- Monitor struggling PCPs and provide counseling as necessary
Other Administrative Duties:
- Process Prior Authorization Requests
- Answer phones and provide general administrative support as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation (Once every 5-6 weeks for Saturday and Sunday and one weekday a week)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Human Resources, benefits management, or related administrative fields
- Experience with healthcare staffing is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Previous experience with workers' compensation claims management is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
