Job Type: Full time, Salaried

Wage: $65,266-$91,600/yr.

Location: Florence, CO.

Job Description:


Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all human resources functions for the district including recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning. Develops and implements HR strategies aligned with district goals while ensuring legal compliance and best practices in human resource management.

 

Qualifications: 

 

Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required; HR experience, preferably in an educational setting, preferred

 

Essential Functions: 

 

    

 

Human Resources Management

 

  • Manage annual staff reporting to CDE (Oct-Feb)

  • Oversee annual SPED staff reporting for BOCES (Aug-Sep)

  • Coordinate annual staff evaluation reporting to CDE (Jun-Sep)

  • Maintain Human Resources webpage on district website

  • Manage and oversee sick bank committee

  • Process and manage employee FMLA paperwork

  • Submit and manage Workers Compensation claims

  • Lead employee health benefit review and selection process

  • Coordinate and manage open enrollment periods

  • Oversee employee benefits administration

  • Plan and coordinate retirement celebrations

  • Track and manage longevity awards

  • Process CORA Requests

  • Manage Bus Driver Clearinghouse Queries (New hires and annually)

  • Oversee district property/liability/workers comp review and selection

  

Recruitment and Staffing

 

  • Direct employee recruitment strategies and processes

  • Manage job postings and interview processes

  • Oversee new hire paperwork and onboarding

  • Maintain employee information in Infinite Visions and Frontline

  • Process employee terminations and conduct exit interviews

  • Manage employee/volunteer background checks

  • Maintain Educator Identification System through CDE

  • Process Continuing Education Contracts

  • Monitor certified staff licensure

  • Process employment verifications

  • Develop and maintain job descriptions

  • Maintain and verify miscellaneous and athletic stipends

  • Oversee employee evaluation documentation

  • Create and manage employee contracts

  • Process unemployment claims

Essential Physical Requirements:

 

  • Occasionally lifting of 5 – 20 pounds

  • Repetitive motion, bending, squatting, standing, reaching, sitting, walking

  • Possible exposure to some noise, dirt/dust

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus

 

Salary:

 

  • Salary according to the Non-Instructional Admin Salary Schedule

  • 195 Days a year

  • 4-day work week
