About the Role:

Moltz Construction Inc. is looking for an HSE Coordinator to support an expansion project of an existing Mine Water Discharge Treatment Plant located approximately 5 miles south of the I-70 Copper Mountain Exit and 15 miles north of Leadville, in Climax, Colorado. The project consists of extensive excavation, concrete, interior piping, and equipment work. The project is scheduled to last for 2+ years.

As an HSE Coordinator at Moltz Construction Inc., you will:

  • Lead by example, and demonstrate a positive HSE attitude.
  • Manage the HSE Management System incident reporting system.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, reports, inspections, and may need to lead training sessions.
  • Facilitate involvement with relevant external partnerships related to workplace health, safety and, environment.
  • Support internal and external assessments of the HSE Management System.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Certificate in HSE and/or related education or equivalency.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and/or MSHA standards is required.
  • MSHA experience/training is preferred.
  • 5-years’ experience in construction and years in safety management related field preferred
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Analyzes complex problems to find integrated, actionable and pragmatic solutions.
  • Excellent time management skills, with focus on attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary- $68K - $84K per annum based on experience.
  • Per diem and company housing is provided.
