Summary
We are seeking a proactive HR Coordinator to join our team at Estes Energetics, based in Penrose, Colorado, with responsibilities supporting HR operations in both Colorado and Louisiana. This hybrid role combines remote work with regular on-site presence, ensuring smooth HR processes and employee support across both states. Essential Functions

  • Assist with managing the recruitment process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates.
  • Coordinate new hire orientations, ensuring all onboarding documentation is completed and submitted.
  • Assist with the offboarding process.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing information on HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for employee events, meetings, and recognition programs to foster a positive work environment.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and answering employee questions about benefits.
  • Support the performance review process.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information and handle data entry tasks in HRIS systems.
  • Assist with training and development initiatives.
  • Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation and benefits offerings.
  • Contribute to organizational development initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, productivity, and overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Promote a positive organizational culture.
  • Support succession planning and talent pipeline development.

Competencies, Experience, and Education

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Desired:

  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Exposure to multiple HR disciplines.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR analytics and reporting tools.

Compensation
$50,000 – $60,000 Depending on Experience

Work Environment
The work will be primarily in office settings with remote work, reflecting a hybrid work environment.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform office-based tasks, including sitting, standing, and occasional light lifting.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday with core hours of 9-5. Employees are expected to work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods.
