Education & Experience

• A minimum of three years related business and/or customer service experience, preferably in a hospital, medical or physician office.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent language, grammar and spelling skills.
• Effective communication on the telephone and creation of a collaborative atmosphere in the office setting is a necessary aspect of the job.
• A commitment to accuracy, collaboration, and exceptional patient service.

What You'll Do

• Answer, screen, and route incoming calls promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service and accurate message-taking as needed.
• Operate the hospital switchboard/telephone console efficiently to ensure timely communication throughout the organization.
• Assist patients and departments with administrative support, including insurance verification, appointment-related account updates, and returned mail follow-up.
• Maintain confidentiality and foster positive communication and working relationships with patients, visitors, providers, staff, and external agencies.
