Job Description

Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $22-$25/hr. 

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers and various others
  • Install water, sanitary and storm sewer structures and pipe systems·
  • Lay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisor·
  • Cut pipes to required lengths·
  • Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using mechanical connections and fittings as required
  • Occasionally provide direction to laborers and trucks on site
  • Various labor duties on job sites
  • Required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Perform daily pre and post trip inspections
  • Fuel and grease equipment daily
  • Comply with all company health and safety guidelines
  • Responsible for own transportation to job sites
  • Responsible to provide own personal protective equipment
  • Other duties will be assigned as required

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of previous heavy equipment operating experience and pipelaying required
  • Previous experience in the excavating industry is a must
  • Working knowledge and understanding of reading drawings, reading locates and setting grades
  • Must be safety conscious
  • Excellent team player
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Must be punctual and personable

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

  • Monday to Friday
