Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $15.76-$22.96/hr. 

Location: Florence, CO.

Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency with preferred interest, experience and/or training in the health care or medical field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Successful completion of all mandated criminal background screenings and fingerprinting as required.
  • Medication Administration, CPR and First Aid training will be provided.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • 7.5 hour day / 4 day school week 150 day school calendar
  • Reports to Building Administrator and District RN.
  • Enters and maintains data required for monitoring and evaluating student health needs.
  • Tracks health services provided to students.
  • Complies with all professional and licensure requirements.
  • Works closely with school staff and faculty.
  • Assists with chronic health needs of students.
  • Coordinates age appropriate screenings as needed, including hearing and vision.
  • Administers CPR and First Aid when needed.
  • Administers medication, under the supervision of the RN.
  • Assists with communicable disease prevention and supports wellness.
  • Reports child abuse and neglect as required by law.
  • Ensures confidentiality of student health records and information according to HIPAA and FERPA.
  • Provides office support when needed.
