River Runners Browns Canyon is now hiring Sales and Guest Services Associates for the 2026 rafting season! Join our team near Buena Vista, Colorado, and spend your summer working amidst stunning mountain scenery while helping guests enjoy unforgettable rafting adventures.
Seasonal Employment: Mid-May through August 2026
River Runners has been guiding whitewater rafting trips on the Arkansas River since 1972. From mid-May through August, we operate daily rafting adventures through Browns Canyon National Monument, Numbers, Family Float, and other exciting river trips near Buena Vista. Our Sales and Guest Services team is an essential part of ensuring a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for every guest visiting our Browns Canyon outpost.
Position Overview
As a Sales and Guest Services Associate, you will be the first and last point of contact for many guests. You’ll manage reservations, check guests in for rafting trips, and prepare them for a safe, fun day on the river. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting guests with a professional and welcoming attitude
- Ensuring all waivers and required forms are completed
- Processing sales for rafting trips, photos, souvenirs, and retail items
- Packing and organizing lunches for rafting trips
- Answering questions about River Runners trips, policies, and local attractions
- Accurately managing transactions using our point-of-sale system
- Assisting with daily cleaning, restocking, and organization of the retail area
- Supporting rafting guides and operations staff to keep trips running smoothly
- Cleaning and restocking restrooms, and taking out the trash.
This is a fast-paced, guest-focused role where every day is different. You will work closely with both guides and guests to deliver an exceptional experience.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who are:
- Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working in a busy, outdoor environment
- Experienced in customer service, retail, or hospitality (preferred but not required)
- Able to stand and move around for extended periods
- Accurate and responsible with cash handling and transactions
- Available to work weekends and peak-season holidays
