Job Description

Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage- $21/hr.

Location: Salida, CO.

Job Description:

General responsibilities: The selected applicant is responsible for the overall grounds, maintenance, and trash removal from the school district's properties and grounds.

Essential tasks include:

 Seasonal outdoor groundwork (irrigation and lawn maintenance experience preferred).

 Winter snow, ice removal, etc.

 Cleaning and preserving designated spaces and equipment inside and outside the buildings.

 Assist in maintaining buildings, grounds, and facilities throughout the district.

 Other duties as assigned

Preferred experience knowledge/ability: High school diploma or GED

 Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license

 Occasional nights and weekend work are required.

 Basic knowledge of reading, writing, mathematics, and reasoning skills

 Heavy lifting and being able to withstand inclement weather is a must.

 Familiarity with commercial lawn and maintenance equipment.

Physical Demands The physical demands of this job are significant and should be considered. The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to manipulate or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and to listen. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. However, a partner must be used while lifting amounts above 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
