Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Golf Course Supervisor and the Golf Manager/Pro, will provide high quality customer service and quality food and alcoholic beverages to patrons of the golf course food service café and food carts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ARE:
- Assist with the golf course cafe activities and operations, which can include, scheduling, training, and evaluating part time cafe personnel.
- Work closely with the Golf Course Supervisor and the Golf Manager/Pro to provide food carts out on the Golf Course as needed for regular play and/or Tournaments.
- Responsible for proper opening and closing procedures including the Cash Register close out.
- Ensures a clean and safe environment of cafe area for patrons and personnel.
- Performs custodial work as needed.
- Operates cash register and prepares financial reports per City requirements.
- Performs daily transactions in operations of golf course cafe.
- Maintains inventory.
- Orders necessary supplies to maintain golf course cafe efficiently.
- Comply with and maintain facility in accordance to all local, state and federal health regulations and liquor and tobacco enforcement regulations.
- Works closely with local health department to perform necessary inspections.
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of operations involving food and beverage facilities and regulations involved, including liquor and tobacco regulations.
- Ability to operate necessary equipment involved in restaurant operations.
- Ability to input and process information for completing reports, statements and billings for operations of restaurants, and maintaining proper inventory.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work assignments and exhibit initiative.
- Ability to understand and maintain cash control, cash drawers and accurate bookkeeping records according to City regulations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, officials and the public.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, pinch, twist, climb, bend, kneel, reach, carry, and perform a wide variety of similar body movements.
- Possess excellent pro-active customer service skills.
- Ability to see and read reports, records and other information.
- Ability to work weekends, day, afternoon shifts (40 hours) to accommodate the food and beverages needs based on Golf demands.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School graduate with minimum one-year experience in food and beverage facility management, retail sales or customer service preferred.
- Previous Cash handling experience.
- Proficient in English. Other languages helpful.
- Basic Math skills.
- Must be able to concentrate on tasks with many distractions.
- Ability to perform moderate physical work and lift50 pounds and to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Possess hand/eye/foot coordination adequate to perform rescues, maintenance & first-aid.
- Possess hand/eye coordination necessary to operate a telephone, computer, cash register, calculator, and other equipment operational in restaurant.
- Ability to talk and hear in person and by phone or two-way radio.
- Must be able to work in a noisy environment with many interruptions.
