Get Outdoors Leadville! (GOL!) is a grant-funded initiative of the PROS department working to expand equitable access to culturally informed and enriching outdoor experiences in Lake County. GOL! envisions a world where people of all identities, backgrounds, and abilities experience safety, wellness, and a sense of belonging in the natural world. The GOL! Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator will provide enrollment support to GOL!’s year-round programs and operations including direct service programming, administrative tasks, and organizational communications. This position needs passion for connecting youth and adults to the outdoors to inspire a lifelong love of nature in our culturally and language diverse community.

This position reports to and is supported by the Pathways Program Manager with mentorship, skill building and professional development.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Program and administrative support for GOL! camps and other programming throughout the year
  • Assist both English and Spanish speaking families with program enrollment process
  • Communicate regularly with families through the CampSite platform, phone, email or in-person
  • Support Program Managers with maintaining complete and accurate files to comply with state federal regulations
  • Coordinate documentation and collection of daily records for attendance, transportation, meals, etc.
  • Maintain program specific web pages on the GOL! Website to support family communications
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for staff training
  • Support maintenance of technology platforms and data management systems
  • Organizational Outreach Support
  • Create promotional materials for GOL! program outreach across all areas including, but not limited to, flyers, social media posts, informational brochures, and newsletters
  • Help manage social media activity across all existing platforms
  • Promote programs and events in person, online, or virtually across community groups, spaces and platforms
  • Represent GOL! in community events as needed
  • Attending team meetings and trainings as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Notice of Emergency/Disaster Responsibilities

All Lake County Employees may be required to work as a Disaster Service Worker when a local declaration of emergency or disaster is declared by the Board of County Commissioners. To be prepared for this role, all employees and emergency service function (ESF) leads will attend emergency management trainings and exercises as requested by the Director of Emergency Management. With advanced notification from OEM, employees will make reasonable efforts to attend training events in coordination with other employees and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a current driver's license
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, virtual meeting, and calendaring applications
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
