Position Summary:

The Global Vendor Business Development Director plays a vital role in developing and managing strategic programs, fostering relationships with Galactic-level vendors, and driving operational improvements. This senior-level position has the responsibility to lead the development of vendor management strategies, and in collaboration with multiple departments at Pax8, enhance partnerships, optimize processes, and drive business growth on a global scale. They also foster a close collaboration with the regional vendor managers to produce strategies for achieving vendor targets.

Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Partner with the Sr. Director of Global Vendor Business Development on the global vendor growth strategy for Pax8 Develop global programs to drive partner adoption and saturation of key vendors while maintaining alignment with Vendor Success Managers, Academy, Finance, Marketing, Professional Services, Sales, and peers
  • Serve as a global vendor liaison to identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration, joint marketing initiatives, and strategic partnerships with key vendors
  • Identify issues and make actionable recommendations to ensure optimum vendor performance across multiple process areas including Sales, Marketing, Support, Product, and Billing from a technical support and enablement standpoint with API integrations, engineering, and technical sales teams
  • Identify and implement operational improvements within vendor management processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, optimize systems, and ensure seamless integration of vendor programs
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to evaluate vendor performance, track progress, and identify areas for optimization
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on vendor relationships, program performance, and opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and vendor performance benchmarks
  • Function as a “thought leader” who drives the growth of global revenue while providing community leadership to regional teams

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least six (6) years of experience working in Vendor Management and/or Business Development
  • Proven experience in vendor management, strategic program development, and relationship management, at a global level preferred
  • Strong understanding of operational improvement and experience implementing process enhancements
  • Understanding of selling through the indirect channel with a passion for empowering partners to serve their customers
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven success in creating scalable business plans to drive the business, analyzing results, and making appropriate modifications to continually improve execution
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and meet/exceed goals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to utilize data and metrics to drive decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver executive presentations in 1:1 and 1:many settings
  • Ability to effectively build formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

Required Education & Certifications: B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $155,000/yr or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
