Job Description:
Provides administrative and clerical assistance to ensure the smooth and daily operations of Johnny's Plumbing. This role supports management, field technicians, and customers by handling scheduling, documentation, communication, and general office tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails
- Schedule service calls and coordinate appointments with plumbing technicians
- Prepare work orders, invoices, and customer documentation
- Maintain and update customer records and job files
- Process payments and assist with basic bookkeeping tasks
- Order and track office and plumbing supplies
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and customers
- Assist with permit applications and inspection scheduling
- Support management with reports, data entry, and filing
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned
- Keep up on office cleanliness.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous office or administrative experience preferred (experience in plumbing, construction, or trades is a plus)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with scheduling or dispatch software preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing terminology is an asset
