Job Summary
The General Laborer plays a vital role in getting our Florence facility up and running. Under the direction of the Factory Manager, General Laborers will perform construction tasks, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and support various operational needs during the factory’s startup phase. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment and contribute to a key community enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in construction activities, including assembling temporary structures, installing equipment, and preparing work areas for production.
Perform cleanup duties, such as removing debris, sweeping floors, and organizing materials to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
Support equipment setup and basic maintenance tasks as directed by the Factory Manager.
Handle material transport, including loading and unloading supplies using hand tools or forklifts (training provided).
Follow OSHA-compliant safety protocols and participate in regular safety briefings to ensure a safe work environment.
Complete additional tasks as assigned to support factory startup and ongoing operations.
Qualifications
No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided for motivated candidates.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in varying weather conditions.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and practices is a plus, but not mandatory.
Forklift certification or other related certifications (e.g., OSHA 10, construction safety) are a bonus.
Strong work ethic, reliability, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Florence, Colorado.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
Availability to work full-time hours, including potential overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
