Job Type: Part time, Hourly

Wage: $15/hr.

Location: Buena Vista, CO.

Job Description:

BV Overlook is currently looking for reliable, outgoing and motivated members of our team. The Front Desk/Generalist position will be responsible for the essential functions for the Generalist position: welcoming guests, receiving, fulfilling and reporting guests’ requests, creating reservations, providing activity recommendations, and checking guests out with a high level of service. This role will also be available to support the team where needed in different areas.

Duties: Essential functions as defined are ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents within this classification. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Comply with all RV Park operating policies and procedures.

- Provides a warm and welcoming registration process for the arriving guests

- Promptly answers phones with a high level of professionalism.

- Creates/ modifies reservations in the property management system.

- Posts charges for the gift shop in the property management system.

- Keeps track of gift shop inventory.

- Provides local recommendations to guests inquiring.

- Available for any and all guest requested items

- Checks guests in/out of the property ensuring zero balance on account.

- Communicate guest requests to the housekeeping and facilities team promptly for resolution.

- Assists with on site events as needed.

- Keeps the Main Building neat and tidy, dusts and sanitizes regularly.

- Tracks and reports maintenance issues; follows up to ensure resolution.

- Runs reports accordingly.

- Collects guest balances in accordance with established payment schedule

- Accurately maintains a bank for the cash drawer using established handling procedures.

- Assist in the Overlook Cafe

- Perform other duties, including: participate in employee meetings, assist other departments on high turn days, complete projects as assigned.

Education & Experience:

- Front Desk or Customer service experience preferred.

- Accurate, attention to detail, service oriented

- Strong organizational skills

- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills

- Excellent math aptitude and cash handling ability

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Professional demeanor

- Proficient computer skills.

- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Buena Vista, Colorado. (Required)

Able To:

- Work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Learn Property Management Systems.

- Remain calm under pressure or in the face of an emergency.

- Plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed work environment and maintain high levels of productivity without direct supervision.

- Possess a current and valid driver's license, preferred.

- Work independently or in a team environment and take direction.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to use standard cleaning equipment, such as brooms, vacuums, and cleaning chemicals.

- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

- Must be able to work until all daily duties are complete, even if this means working more than 8 hours in one shift.

- Must frequent lift, carry, and/or move up to 10-15 pounds.

- Must occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 25-50 pounds.

- Must be able to maintain a fast, efficient pace.

- Hearing and speech to communicate in person, on the radio, or over the telephone.
