Job Type: Seasonal, Hourly

Wage: $2,400 3 weeks, $40/hr.

Location: Florence, Penrose, CO.

Job Description

 The program coordinator will be in charge of the both FES and PES Summer School programs. Summer School will take place at the Jr./Sr. High School. Our targeted grade levels will be K-6th. The coordinator will identify with the help of Administration, the students who will be invited to attend summer school. The program coordinator will prepare summer school permission slips that will be sent out to parents in May of 2023. The program coordinator will enroll students, create a waiting list for those students wishing to attend summer school, monitor the progress of students, contact parents on summer school student progress, support students and staff that have technology needs, and help engage students in their learning. Reading and math will be the curriculum focus with the integration of STEAM.

Required Qualifications:

  • Colorado Teacher or other Professional Certification
  • Able to utilize technology through multiple platforms
  • Able to compile and analyze data
  • Good communication skills with students and parents/guardians

Preferred Qualifications:

Administrative license or in progress to obtain; this position supports hours needed for Administrative licensure or a Masters degree

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help and guide promotion of the Summer School Program at Fremont Elementary School
  • Approve and enroll Students
  • Keep track of the student waiting list for summer school
  • Monitor student attendance by calling parents once a student exceeds two absence
  • Track/hand-out//pick-up of iPads for summer school if iPads are needed
  • Communicate with summer school staff and Administration
  • Address any technology concerns by contacting district tech support
  • Provide information to parents/guardians about student progress and grades
  • Manage summer school data/reports for Student Support Services
  • Provide feedback to school/district administration in regards to the progress of the Summer School Program
  • Oversees Summer School Program discipline as per Board Policy and Colorado Revised Statutes
  • Oversee snacks and lunch sacks for distribution

Hours and Pay:

  • 3 week program, $2,400 (one of the weeks will be preparing for the summer school program).
  • 4 days per week Monday-Thursday, 5 hours per day
  • $40 per hour plus PERA
