Wage: $18-$20/hr.

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

  • Position Title: Family and Community Engagement Manager
  • Program: Fremont County Head Start
  • Contact: May fill out application at the Main Office - 1718 Brookside, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday
  • Hours: 40 hours per week with benefits (year-round position including health/life insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, Federal holidays paid, 4-day work week)
  • Rate of Pay: $18.00-$20.00 depending on education and experience
  • Closing Date: When filled

Position Description: Responsible for the coordination of the Head Start Policy Council, Family Engagement activities, recruiting/training of program volunteers, and abiding by Parent and Family Engagement Framework. Ensures families of Head Start children are encouraged to be involved in the Head Start program and relationships between children, families, and the community are promoted. Ensure recruiting of volunteer services from community residents and community organizations is performed. Collaborate with families, community members, and other local agencies to identify common goals, align resources, and share data for continuous improvement and effective partnerships. FULL JOB DESCRIPTION CAN BE READ AT THE HEAD START CENTER.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in social work or willing to complete Family Service Credential. One year's experience working with families who are low-income and must have knowledge of their social and economic needs. Current Colorado Driver's License and proof of vehicle insurance. Initial and periodic health screening including screening for tuberculosis (PPD or x-ray). Current First Aid and CPR certification.
