About the Position:
The Facilities Crew Leader will lead, oversee and participate in facility maintenance and repair operations including aquatics systems, building repairs and maintenance, fitness equipment, HVAC equipment, other types of facility equipment as well as custodial duties. This position will be based out of the Community Recreation Center facility located at Matchett Park which is currently under construction. The 107,000 square foot facility will open in the middle of 2026. This position reports to the Facilities Supervisor.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform lead worker functions of staff including assigning and reviewing daily work, providing input into performance evaluations, training other employees, and acting as a resource to other staff.
- Plan and participate in the installation, repair and maintenance of assigned systems, equipment, buildings, and facilities.
- Establish schedules and methods for providing assigned services.
- Respond to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from other staff and the general public; instigate causes and resolve issues in an efficient manner.
- Inspect a variety of construction projects; review plans, ensure compliance with applicable specifications and regulations.
- Supervise the maintenance of time, material and equipment use records; track and analyze data related to the evaluation of performance, cost, and service levels.
- Assist in the replacement plan development for existing facilities and building equipment; participate in the review process for building and equipment replacement decisions; perform inspections and surveys of City facilities to assess current condition and future needs.
- Assist in preparing bid specifications; requisition of supplies and materials; maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Perform work in on-call and emergency situations.

This position is a safety sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Three (3) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of facilities.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver’s license.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain with in six (6) months of hire, a professional Aquatics Facility Operator’s license or equivalent.
- Ability to lead, monitor, train and review staff and technical work.
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
