Job Type: Hourly

Wage: $17-$20/hr.

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform all Assistant level assembly tasks including the following:

a. Cut and prepare piece parts for steel fabrication.

b. Weld sub-weldment parts such as supports, chain covers, drive covers, pinch guards, etc.

c. Roll angle, offset slider beds.

d. Fabricate independently three product types in either flat or spiral build departments.

2. Cross train in two different production positions at the basic level (additional areas such as Crate, Belt, Paint, and Assembly).

3. Operate material handling cranes and other lifting devices as required.

4. Read and exercise QC fabrication checklists to ensure proper compliance to quality standards.

5. Perform duties within the company safety programs standards to maintain accident-free working conditions.

6. Comply with all company policies and procedures as required.

Required experience:

18+ months’ of employment within the production department as a trainee with IEW

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2. Achieve Certified Operator status.

3. Ability to use hand tools (standard, pneumatic and power)

4. Ability to accurately read measuring devices

5. Possesses knowledge to read BOMs, Work Orders, and other types of production processes

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is required to walk and reach with hands and arms and move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. The noise level in the work environment is regular factory noises. Wearing the proper PPE (protective eyewear, ear plugs and steal toed shoes) is a requirement in most areas of this facility.

MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED: Telephone, printer, PC, copier, facsimile.
