The top rated Surf Hotel, along with the adjacent Surf Chateau, offers unpretentious luxury and unrivaled views from the heart of the critically acclaimed South Main neighborhood. With an onsite restaurant and a ballroom overlooking the river and flexible common spaces, the Surf Hotel is designed to accommodate events of many styles and sizes.

We are committed to the old-world function of bread production, flour, water, salt and yeast, with a focus on the country style of tapas. This, combined with production of produce and meats from our own farm located just minutes away, sets the stage for a well balanced and inviting farm to table restaurant.

Food and beverage service is offered daily from 4pm-10pm and Brunch from 9am-2pm on Sundays.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Expo/Food Runner to join our team. The Expo/Food Runner will be responsible for ensuring efficient food delivery and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities:
- Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables promptly and accurately
- Assisting in setting up and clearing tables as needed
- Collaborating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth food delivery
- Communicating effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house team members
- Adhering to food safety standards and procedures
- Helping maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Toast POS, is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic food safety guidelines
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Willingness to assist colleagues in various tasks as needed
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor
