Wage: $17.50/hr.

About the Position: 

Event Support Staff assist with different events at multiple locations within our Parks and Recreation system. Examples include baseball and football games, track meets, large tournaments at Canyon View, special events hosted by community organizations, and concerts at the Amphitheater. Being a member of our Event Support team offers the applicant flexibility to work around their schedule. Most events happen in the evenings and on weekends, but support is needed other days and times as well.

Duties

What You’ll Do: 

  • Provide great customer service to our facility users so they have an excellent experience.

  • Keep our facilities clean, safe, and inviting by emptying trash receptacles, keeping premises free of litter, and cleaning restrooms.

  • Come to each event ready to help our customers put on an awesome event.

  • Perform related work as required.

Qualifications

This position is a safety-sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed.


What We’re Looking For: 

  • Must be at least 16 years old

  • Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and, if required for the specific position, a physical examination. 

  • Must be available to work events in the evenings and on weekends 
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand for long periods of time 
  • Must be able to work outside 
  • Has the ability to be flexible with tasks and duties during a shift 
  • Enjoys engaging with customers of all ages, backgrounds, and personalities 
  • Works well individually or with a team 
  • Treats everyone with respect 
  • Takes appropriate initiative 
  • Exhibits timely follow through on commitments 
  • Projects and maintains a positive image always
