Job Type: Hourly

Wage: $22.60-$31.70/hr. 

Location: Florence, CO.

Job Description:

The position will be responsible for operating primarily a Scraper but also a variety of off-road trucks and equipment utilized in mining and will also be responsible for helping with plant maintenance. This includes repair of aggregate plant processing equipment, fabrication, and installation of guarding and operation of the aggregate processing plant. Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor, clean equipment.
  • Perform daily inspection of vehicle
  • Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation.

Plant Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Conducts MSHA pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
  • Maximizes performance of stationary equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basis.
  • Ensures Preventative Maintenance services, lubrications services are completed according to Maintenance Module.
  • Performs fabrication, set up processing equipment and repair to processing equipment.
  • Completes required paperwork to maintain equipment and to run the plant according to Martin Marietta Materials standards.
  • Duties may include checking, repairing, or replacing pumps.
  • Familiar with maintenance on crushing and screening equipment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in a role with similar responsibilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Occasional weekend work required
  • Welding experience preferred.

Salary Posting:

We are excited to share the base range for this position is $22.60 - $31.70, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity. In addition to our base compensation, we also offer a competitive benefits package for full time employees (more information on benefits listed below).
