Job Description

Chaffee County seeks a dependable and safety-minded Equipment Operator to support daily Landfill operations through heavy equipment operation, site maintenance, scale house support, and customer service. The qualified candidate works well within a structured environment, follows standard operating procedures, cooperates effectively with team members, and takes pride in consistent, hands-on work. This position includes outdoor work in varying conditions as part of regular operations and works a Wednesday-Saturday schedule consisting of four 10.5-hour workdays, including a meal break. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record. 1+ years of experience operating heavy equipment and hand and power tools preferred.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position with a wage range of $23.43 to $28.71.
