Job Description

Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $15-$16/hr.

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

As a Yard Hand at Canon Rental, you will perform a variety of manual tasks to ensure smooth operation. Your primary objective will be operating equipment, servicing equipment (washing, greasing, changing fluids, etc.), and assisting customers with loading and unloading of equipment (securing with chain and boomer, driving on/off trailer, etc.).

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm Saturday 7:30am-1pm (Position will work 4 weekdays and Saturday)

Additional duties include the following:

  • Check equipment for damage, hours used, and fuel level upon return 
  • Inspect rental equipment and ensure that equipment is in good working order
  • Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading of equipment, and prepare equipment for rental
  • Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Summer Season - May require position to travel around town and out of town to set up equipment for events/party orders.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • MUST BE RELIABLE AND HAVE TRANSPORTATION
  • Effective communication, multi-tasking and strong teamwork skills
  • Diligent attention to safety
  • Superior customer service skills and maintaining a presentable appearance

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
