Job Type: Full time, Salaried

Wage: $57,784-$80,000/yr.

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and determine basic specifications from existing product calculators and worksheets.
  • Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain specifications, procedures, and objectives.
  • Perform all clerical and application tasks associated with the Engineering department. Use of existing software and electronic processes including, but not limited to SAP, Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
  • Prepare drawings, BOM’s, and necessary documentation to ensure smooth and accurate flow of product production. This requires working knowledge of SAP, Autodesk and Microsoft Office.
  • As required, conduct DXF preparation or modification.
  • Inspect BOM’s, Drawings and DXF files for clarity and correct erroneous drawings.
  • Check dimensions of materials, components or assemblies for conformance.
  • Evaluate designs by measuring drawing dimensions and comparing with original design specifications.
  • Confirm and process replacement part orders to the extent of providing production with proper documentation.
  • Process shop floor changes as required using the appropriate procedures to provide proper documentation to production.
  • Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures as required.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Prefer 1 year of sales, customer service and/or data entry experience.
  • Prefer 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing and or Engineering environment.
  • SAP VC (Variant Configuration) knowledge beneficial. Some required qualifications are not required if SAP VC knowledge is possessed.

  • Minimum requirement of an Associate Degree or Vocational Certification Training in computer design/drafting fields.
  • Possess a knowledge of product processing and drafting.
  • Ability to read and create drawings, BOM’s and other engineering documentation.
  • Possess a knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Products and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Willing to work occasional weekends as needed.
