Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated K-12 Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs, creating individualized education plans (IEPs), and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
Schedule and lead IEP meetings with parents and pertinent staff members.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure effective communication and support for students.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and interventions to enhance student learning and engagement.
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (K-12).
Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
