Job Type: Full time, Salaried

Wage: $37,699-$55,407/yr. 

Location: Penrose, CO.

Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Colorado Music Teaching License
  • Meet Highly Qualified Standards to teach music
  • Teaching experience in general music preferred
  • Ability to teach to the Colorado State Standards
  • Piano skills preferred
  • Ability to relate to elementary school students
  • Good team member
  • Strong student management skills
  • Must be able to care for school equipment
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Successful completion of all mandated criminal background screenings and fingerprinting as required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • 161-day contract / 8.5-hour day / 4-day school week
  • Supervise, instruct, assess, manage and evaluate student work
  • Work with teaching colleagues, students, parents and administration effectively

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • Salary according to Master Agreement
  • Can accept up to 15 years of outside experience
  • Heath insurance according to the Master Agreement
  • PERA, Medicare Life Insurance Leave days according to the Master Agreement
