Wage: $37,699-$55,407/yr. 

Location: Penrose, CO.

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Valid Colorado Teaching License

2. Meet quality standards for an elementary teacher

3. Strong background in reading, written language and math

4. Experience in working with elementary students

5. Good understanding Colorado Academic Standards and district/state testing requirements

6. Strong student management skills

7. Ability to facilitate data driven discussions/meetings

8. Experience or training in evidence-based interventions

9. Strong knowledge of Multi-Tier Systems of Support (MTSS), and the Response to Intervention (RtI) process.

10. Excellent communication skills in oral and written language

11. Successful completion of all mandated criminal background screenings and fingerprinting as required

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position may transition to a classroom teacher position for the 2024-2025 school year.

1. Provide direct instruction to small groups of students at an intensive, strategic or accelerated level of intervention

2. Provide explicit and systematic instruction to improve students’ specific skills, strategies, and concept development

3. Assist in screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring assessments

4. Assist in analyzing student data to determine student profile of needs, and for making instructional placement and instructional decisions

5. Collaborate and consult with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other specialists in a problem solving approach to implement the most effective instructional plan for students

6. Develop schedules and flexible groups of homogeneous skills based on student performance data

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • 161 day contract 8.5 hour workday - 4 day school week
  • Salary according to District approved Salary Schedule - Certified Teacher District will accept up to fifteen (15) years of experience
  • District contribution toward benefit package valued at $4,944 annually to include Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance
  • Leave days according to District Policy
