Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $35.11/hr.

Location: Florence, CO.

Job Description

PURPOSE

Maintains, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, environmental, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation and new installations. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of the plant.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate PPE.
  • Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment
  • Solid individual safety track record
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill set of the industrial electrical field including, but not limited to: understanding of electrical units of measure, AC/DC voltage characteristics, understanding of basic circuits.
  • Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of hand tool usage safety
  • Able to procure required tools for the position within three months of job transfer
  • Must be able to successfully pass the prerequisite electrical examination
  • Demonstrated leadership and self direction, motivation and able to work independently or with a team
  • Willing to work weekends, night shifts, and call-outs, as needed

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES

Required Education: High School diploma/GED

Additional Education Preferred: Journeyman License

Field of Study Preferred: Electrical Technology, Industrial electrician

Travel Requirements: Some local travel
