Job Description:

The Education Department at Estes Industries is excited to welcome a program specialist to join the team. This is a new opportunity to work with the leaders in STEM education for over 65 years. This role will be responsible for helping implement an off-site aerospace program that provides engaging and educational activities to youth grades K-8 at youth programs, summer camps, and educational events. This person will lead program instruction, coordinate and facilitate program implementation, and be responsible for teaching up to two sessions per week. The role will also include supporting the Director of Education with various tasks including coordinating programming and adapting and developing educational content. 

Essential Functions:
- Inspire the next generation through hands-on learning, inclusive practices, and interdisciplinary STEM approaches
- Lead off-site educational programming for K-8 youth (up to 25 children at a time, curriculum and training to be provided by Estes)
- Support educators with using model rockets via webinars, presentations, or trainings
-Adapt existing educational rocketry content and create new content for youth programs, camps, and afterschool programs
-Outreach to both local (Colorado) and national camps and programs to promote Estes' educational programming
-Increase Education Sales by supporting the Sales team with education orders and customer support
-Support Education Department partnerships with various tasks as needed

We are looking for someone with experience leading youth programs (ex: 4-H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Club) and/or summer camps who is comfortable facilitating activities with youth. Additionally, experience teaching or working in a classroom is a bonus.
