Job Description

The E-Commerce Specialist will report to the Director of Global Sales, and is responsible for developing and executing online sales strategies. This position requires a “hands-on” person with astute attention to process and detail, who possesses the ability to apply this detailed knowledge to actionable insights and recommendations particularly as they relate to the Estes Amazon growth strategy as well as adeptness with other major online marketplaces and related tools. This person should be a self-starter who can work independently while engaging in cross-functional collaboration to support broader objectives through good communication, organizational skills and influential leadership.

E- Commerce Specialist Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Devising strategies that harness sales-related insights, prevailing standards, and novel developments to encourage sales in our online store
  • Assisting with decisions about promotions such as discounted offers
  • Analyzing sales data to predict future sales and forecast stock requirements
  • Very adept and experienced with Amazon Vendor Central and Walmart Retail Link.
  • Experience with other portals such as 1WorldSync and Target Partners Online is a plus.
  • Coordination with Marketing, Sales, Copywriters, and Graphic Designers to ensure careful adherence to strategy and brand architecture
  • Coordination with Marketing team on promotional offers and checking to see that these are uploaded precisely
  • Responsible for managing day to day operations of e-commerce partner sites
  • Maintain integrity and accessibility of catalog across all partner channels, support product management, and listing optimization to ensure correct merchandise mix, product information, and pricing, including detailed maintenance and improvement of listings (title, description, images, reviews, prices, product specs, customer questions, etc.) to increase product ranking
  • Contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive sales and marketing strategies
  • Audit report on marketplace performance metrics
  • Work across departments in Finance, Systems, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales to make sure any back-end cases are dealt with accordingly
  • Translate insights into dashboards, graphics and summaries to share with cross-functional partners leadership and present on weekly basis
  • Monitor all channels for errors, alerts, inquiries and violators
  • Work within identified budgets to develop successful advertising campaigns.
  • Trouble shooting with partner platforms
  • Review customer feedback and marketplace health, updating processes as needed
  • Analyze reports, present findings, and provide recommendations for areas of growth
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Be able to work independently with minimal direction and demonstrated robust prioritization skills
  • Ability to embrace and adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Proficient knowledge of contemporary digital marketing, eBusiness, eCommerce, UI/UX, and general website best practices
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, MailChimp, etc. as well as familiarity with website back-ends like WooCommerce, Magneto, Shopify, etc. SQL or database querying experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of general ERP systems and manufacturing processes

E-Commerce Specialist Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Marketing Management, Business, Information Systems, or similar
  • A background and experience in Sales and Consumer Products is preferred.
  • Experience with working to optimize a suppliers’ performance within a retailers’ digital shelf or website is preferred
  • Preferred experience working in E-Commerce (4-6 years minimum)
  • Demonstrable track record of devising sales-enhancing strategies
  • Sound knowledge of prevailing procedures and techniques in e-commerce
  • Supervision, research, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to tackle the demands of ever-evolving technological implements with ease
  • Excellent market research skills
  • Skilled data analysis and report writing abilities
  • A stickler for precision, creativity, and excellence
  • Eager about the role of technology in promoting business
