Alpine Adventures Dogsledding

Dogsledding Guide

Alpine Adventures Dogsledding

Job Description

Job Type: Seasonal, Full Time, Hourly

Wage: $16-$20/hr.

Location: Leadville, CO.

Job Description:

We are looking for one or two more guides, as well as 1-2 handlers for the upcoming fall/winter tour season. Must love dogs and be willing to put their needs as you top priority. You must enjoy working outdoors and some guiding experience is helpful, but not necessary. Parts of this job can be physically demanding at times, between handling dogs and carrying around full 5-gal pails in the snow. Must be reliable, have your own transportation, and live in or near Leadville. Like all outdoor tour industries, guides are a generously tipped position. Between base pay and tips, if you're not making $30/hr during tour season, you have only yourself to blame.

Must be willing to commit to the entire season through at least the end of March at minimum, most likely through mid-April. This is a very busy seasonal operation. You also need reliable transportation as we are about 4 miles outside of town on Hwy 24.

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift

Supplemental pay types: Tips

**Disclaimer: The duties and responsibilities described above are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee, time to time; the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands. Click “View Application” below for more detail on this specific job.
