Job Type: Full time, Salaried

Wage: $94,302-$132,470/hr.

Location: Leadville, CO.

Job Description:

The Director of Facility Management is responsible for overseeing the management of maintenance, environmental services and laundry. This is to ensure the facility operations is safe, effective and well- functioning. This leadership role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, environmental and laundry services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and monitoring the budget for maintenance and Environmental services.
  • Mitigating risk and overseeing safety and security

Conducting regular inspections of the facility and laundry departments to identify issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Manage departments and hold regular department meetings.
  • Plan, organize, develop, direct and provide “hands on” support for the total operations of the maintenance /environmental services/ laundry departments to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe, efficient, attractive and comfortable manner.
  • Monitor expenditures
  • Supervise the maintenance of plant systems and contracts for major repairs or replacements.
  • Schedule and budget for major repairs and replacements
  • Supervises environmental services/ laundry and maintenance personnel as needed
  • Participate in safety and emergency preparedness and other committees as necessary

· Working with managers within the departments that you oversee to educate and evaluate any concerns.

  • Work with vendors and supply companies.
  • Communicate with other department leaders on development with the department
  • Assist senior leadership on overseeing capital improvement projects, renovations, and construction, collaborating with contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects meet institutional standards.
  • Lead the hiring, onboarding, and oversight of facilities staff, ensuring all safety guidelines are met. Support ongoing training and professional development initiatives for team members to promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Develop and manage long-term care and preventive maintenance schedules for all campus infrastructure, including parking lots and outdoor facilities, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.
  • Develop and implement processes and programs to promote efficiencies compatible with the growth scale of the business
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field, with a strong background in industrial maintenance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Strong project management skills with experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to trouble shoot complex issues logically and efficiently
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across departments.

Pay: $94,302.00 - $132,470.00 per year
