About Estes Rockets:
Estes Rockets has been a pioneer in model rocketry for over 65 years, inspiring creativity, STEM education, and the joy of exploration. We are looking for a Director of Education to lead our efforts in growing our presence in the STEM education market and assist with creating resources and products that will empower educators to use model rocketry as part of their STEM education curriculum. 

The key responsibilities of this position include: 

Education Department

  • Develop and implement a 5-year strategic growth plan aimed at driving education-related revenue and expanding market presence.
  • Manage the EDU budget with a focus on optimizing sales and maximizing ROI.
  • Oversee the execution and completion of all education initiatives, ensuring alignment with sales and revenue goals.
  • Lead the education development process with an emphasis on scalable, sales-driven solutions.
  • Advise and support educational partnership programs with content reviews, focusing on partnerships that drive growth and sales opportunities.
  • Supervise and manage the Education Program Specialist, ensuring daily operations are aligned with sales targets and departmental objectives through Cosmic Club.

Education Training

  • Collaborate closely with the B2B Marketing Specialist and EDU Sales Rep to align education products and services with sales strategies, driving increased revenue.
  • Lead the development and execution of Estes Education training programs, optimizing content for both educational impact and potential sales conversion.
  • Develop and manage the Professional Development program to create revenue-generating opportunities.

Educational Content

  • Lead the strategy for education content development, aligning industry best practices to ensure content drives customer acquisition and retention.
  • Hire and manage content development contractors, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with EDU goals.
  • Continuously update and optimize content to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
  • Analyze content performance data to assess impact, refine strategies, and inform future content creation.

Department Support

  • Partner with the Director of Sales and Marketing to design and implement targeted marketing campaigns that drive sales to the education audience.
  • Work with the Director of Product Development to create and refine educational products that align with market demand and drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to increase the sales of EDU products, supporting cross-functional initiatives and revenue-generating opportunities.
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
